Hello mamas,
I hope you and your families are all staying safe + sane during this very difficult time.
I can’t believe we’re in a whole new month, like where is the time going? My baby just turned two months today and it feels like I just had him yesterday.
Anywhoooo....
Today, I decided to share with you 10 things I’ve learned about myself during this 4th trimester.
Quick definition on what the 4th trimester is :
“The fourth trimester is the 12 week period immediately after you have had your baby.”
I don’t have to always be available for everyone and that it’s okay to just say “not today” without feeling bad.
Making myself a priority is imperative, especially when you have children and a spouse. I’ve been putting myself on the back burning for the past few weeks and I’ve realized that I also have to make sure that I am good in all aspects to ensure that I am not only showing up for my children + husband but for myself as well.
I enjoy my own company a little too much.
My obsession for tea has increased tremendously.
I‘m in love with my mommy body. After years of struggling with my mom-body, I’ve been able to fully embrace and love my body that gave birth to three beautiful + healthy children.
I’ve become obsessed with showing up for myself in all aspects.
I’m a mommas girl.
I don’t mind being a stay at home mom, these last two months off has been nothing but amazing with my little people.
I’m becoming more okay with not accomplishing something I set out to do for the day, especially when newborn life has my full attention.
I’m not a morning person, anymore.
What are something’s you’ve learned about yourself after giving birth? Or these last few months?
Best,
Takeia Washington
