“Being a mother is not about what you gave up to have a child, but what you’ve gained from having one.” — Unknown

The year 2019 was beautiful, but was also the year that God showed me the importance of unlearning and walking away from things that no longer aligned with this new transformation that was about to take place in my life.
I married the love of my life and father to both of my children - August 31st, 2019 surrounded by our family and friends.
I was overjoyed, still in awe of how faithful God is for this beautiful man and union. We set out to take our honeymoon sometime in October to enjoy this newly bliss, but, guess what?
Two days after saying " I do" we found out we were 3-4 weeks pregnant with baby #3, talk about being shocked, but overly excited to be adding a new little addition to our now growing family.
Even though I have been off of birth control since 2014, got pregnant with my son right afterwards and didn't get pregnant for all of those years...
August came around, period was the 2nd and well... We didn't think to take any precautions(condoms or pulling out) becauseee, why?

I honestly thought(IKYFL) we was gucci, sikeeeee...
Baby K was conceived(I remember that damn night, whew chile), what a great damn night might I add, lol.
I was trying to figure out why the hell I wasn't feeling too good the day of our wedding, I was brushing it off like maybe it's from drinking damn near everyday leading up to the wedding or the bubble guts of seeing my husband walking down that aisle.
But waittt....
Look at this picture we took at our wedding, not even knowing I was pregnant...

A blessing in disguise for sure.
ANYWHOOO...
Monday came(2 days after our wedding), I totally spaced that my period was supposed to be either a day before our wedding or the day of our wedding.
I went to Walmart and brought the cheap $.88 pregnancy test(they work just as good as the more expensive kind) and guess what that damn thing read after I pissed on it not once but, twice....

P R E G N A N T....
I couldn't believe it, but then again, I could believe it because we both agreed that he wasn't pulling out that night, period....
Well mama's,
I hope you enjoyed this blog as much as I did writing it.
Leave me comments on how you found out you were pregnant, what was your initial response and whether or not your pregnancy was planned or unplanned.
XoXo,

Thank you so much! & congratulationssss on your recent wedding as well, and you’re not crazy for taking your honeymoon right after your wedding. We’re definitely doing a babymoon before baby gets here and honeymoon around our first year wedding anniversary.
Congrats on your pregnancy and your recent wedding! I also got married in August and we flew out the next day for our honeymoon. Everyone thought we were crazy but I wanted to avoid all derailments lol. Are you thinking about taking a babymoon?
