Hello Mama's,

I hope you all are having an amazing + safe and sane week.

We're officially in week two of #socialdistancing and let me tell you something, this mama needs a tall glass of wine or maybe a shot of tequila(too bad I can't have neither, since I'm 9 months pregnant).

The kids schools are officially closed until May (they might not even go back for the remaining of the year due to covid-19).

My husband is still being instructed to go into work, since they're saying his job is an essential to the public(he works for the post-office).

Then you have me who already works from home, who's used to being in the house all day, errrr day.

Everyone is exhausted from the media, work and let alone being in the house all damn day.

I'm tired of cooking.

I'm tired of eating.

I'm tired of going from my work desk, bathroom, kitchen, bed and just sleeping.

I'm just mf tiedddddd.

I'm grateful, don't get me wrong, but I'm tired as hell.

Am I wrong for feeling this way?

Last-night, I called a friend to just vent about my frustrations and she felt the absolute sameway and I couldn't be more happier to have this amazing sister-friend.

It's really hard trying to stay positive for your children, spouse and other people who sees you as this strong + positive person.

I think one of the biggest things we have to remember during this time is that we're all humans and that it's okay to be frustrated and overwhelmed with everything, especially during an epidemic like this.

But anywho, let me stop ranting and give you mama's some tips on how to maintain your sanity during this covid-19 epidemic.

1. Express gratitude - even when it's hard, be grateful for the people and things you have in your life.

2. Communicate - check on your family + friends and let them know you love and appreciate them. & if you're a person that's going through something that's causing you to isolate yourself from the people who love + care about you more, please be mindful that communication is important and that it's okay to share whatever it is that's bothering you to your tribe, that is what they're there for. Don't put them on the back-burner until you figure things out, COMMUNICATE.

3. Find a new hobby - youtube has a ton of videos with great content that you can watch during this time.

4. Prioritize sleep - If you was a person who lacked sleep before, take advantage of getting all of the well-needed rest you can get, your body and spirit is going to appreciate you even more.

5. Unplug from social media - If you're a person who suffers from anxiety, depression, and etc this might be helpful for you to unplug and re-center your energy from everything that's happening in the world. I'm not saying don't listen to news, but, I am saying protect your energy and peace from information that isn't true.

Well mama's that's all I have for right now, please let me know how you're staying sane during this time.

Xoxo,

Takeia Washington
